Fascinating WW2 history

Cambridge American Cemetery

This impressive and moving site contains the remains of 3,812 American soldiers who died during WW2, and commemorates the names of 5,127 who are missing. Most died in the Battle of the Atlantic or in the strategic air bombardment of northwest Europe.

A new visitor centre which opened in 2014 provides personal stories, photographs, films and interactive displays, all of which help the visitor to more fully understand the importance of this critical campaign to the ultimate Allied victory.

Visit at the same time as going into Cambridge or make this a destination. Straight up the M11 – 19 miles or 30 minutes from Bartlow.
