Winner of the Muddy Stilettos Award for Best Boutique Stay in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, and winner of the Great British Pub Award for Best Rural/Country Pub in the UK, The Three Hills is the perfect choice for a cosy getaway.

We have six charming rooms and one two bedroom flat at The Three Hills, all brimming with character. Four of the bedrooms are in our annexe, the flat and the other two bedrooms are on the first floor of the pub. No matter which room you choose, enjoy Hungarian goose down duvets, duck and goose down pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets, pocket sprung mattresses, Nespresso coffee machines, Roberts radios, complimentary filtered water, tea and coffee, fabulous power showers, fluffy towels, White Company toiletries and fast free wifi. We have one twin bedded room (Boxington); the rest have king sized beds. The flat contains one room with a king sized bed, one with a queen, and a large open plan beamed kitchen and sitting room. The flat can easily accommodate up to three adults plus a child (sleeping on the sofa), or two adults and three children (with one on the sofa). Dogs are welcome in any of our bedrooms for a small surcharge of £17.50 (per dog stay). Dog beds and towels provided. We do ask that you refrain from allowing your dogs on the furniture and that you use the towel provided to clean their feet before entering the room.

Please note that the pub is closed from Sunday at 6pm until Wednesday lunchtime. There is no breakfast served on Monday and Tuesday mornings. There are a couple of local pubs open for dinner on these evenings which we would be happy to share with you. In nearby Saffron Walden the Goat and Grass serves a delicious breakfast.

What a pleasure to enjoy proper, old-fashioned hospitality - it’s such a rare thing these days! We were six for supper, plus our dog, in the bar by the roaring wood burner, as it was a family member’s birthday. Our waiter Freddy could not have been more helpful - in fact everyone here is ready with a smile the moment you walk in. The chef and his team are to be wholeheartedly congratulated - the food really is excellent. Two of us stayed overnight - a beautifully appointed twin room with all amenities: lovely fresh bed linen and towels, even a dog towel with bowls and treats, all on a designated dog bed. The breakfast was great - my porridge the best I’ve eaten! Would genuinely highly recommend this establishment to anyone: the whole team working together with one aim in mind - to provide the most memorable, warm and friendly service to their guests. Cannot wait to return. ❤️ Trip Advisor Review December 2022
